In what is positive news for Crested Butte and skiers who love long perfectly pitched lift-served intermediate terrain with stunning views, the U.S. Geological Survey report on Crested Butte’s Snodgrass Mountain has been made public by the US Forest Service. In light of the report and the US Forest Service’s comments, CBMR will be refining its Master Plan over the next several weeks to address concerns in the report and will then submit the plan to the Forest Service. The Forest Service has told CBMR that as long as the plan addresses the geology concerns and stays within specified guidelines it will accept the Snodgrass proposal.
