Crested Butte has been my home since 1979, when I relocated to this area from Houston after attending college at Southwest Texas State and the University of Houston. Prior to coming on board with Prudential, I co-owned and operated the largest property management company in the area, managing and renting condominiums in Mt. Crested Butte from 1980 to 1999. Upon selling the management company in 1999, I joined the Prudential Becky Hamlin team changing my focus from property management to real estate sales. I have been a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 1987.
During my time here, I have had the pleasure and challenge of raising three sons in this mountain town. The twins, Ben and Blake are now 24. Ben just graduated from college at CU Boulder studying political science, and is now the head ski coach for the Eldora Mountain Ski Team. Blake is now living New York City pursuing his career in theater and acting, and managing a restaurant. My youngest son Brady is 21, and is a junior at Colorado State University at Fort Collins, studying construction management.
I like to stay active in local affairs within the community. I am currently in the middle of my second term on the Mt. Crested Butte Town Council. I also sit on the Board of Directors for the Gunnison Vallley RTA, which oversees the guaranteed flights into the Gunnison airport, as well as the free shuttle service between Gunnison and Mt. Crested Butte. Lastly, I sit on the Mountain Express Board of Directors, which oversees the free shuttle bus service from Downtown to the Mountain, and the connecting loop routes. In past years I have served on the Mt. Crested Butte Planning Commission, the Crested Butte Fire Protection District, The CB/Mt CB Chamber of Commerce, and the Gunnison County Lodging Tax Panel.
